ORCS seeks to provide learning opportunities for scientists and engineers through its short courses.

The afternoon short course for the 25th ORCS Conference will be:
“In-situ catalyst characterization in the liquid phase”

Short course details and presenter list coming soon!

Conference Travel

Flights to Tuscon International Airport (TUS) are available on most US carriers.

Discounted taxi fare from TUS to the conference resort can be booked through Arizona Stagecoach.

Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX) is about a 2-2.5 hour drive from Tucson.

Golf Outing

The Organic Reactions Catalysis Society invites you to participate in our golf outing on Sunday, March 2, 2014 at the Jack Nicklaus signature design Westin La Paloma Tucson golf course. The course has been recently renovated and has received numerous accolades, including Golfweek’s “2013 Best Resort Course Award”. The scenery and vistas on the golf course are unmatched. We have reserved 24 spots for 6 tee times, starting at 10 am. We will plan on playing according to a 4-person scramble format – allowing golfers of all skill levels to have an enjoyable outing. We have negotiated a rate of $139 per player, which includes the use of a golf cart and practice facilities (a significant discount compared to similar courses in the area). Depending on the level of interest, we may be able to reserve additional tee times. We encourage conference participants of all golfing abilities to participate – the more the merrier. For a short review of the course, please go to:

We are looking for organizations to sponsor prizes for the event. If your organization can sponsor prizes (golf balls, golf equipment, and cash/gift certificates), please send an email to Girish. We look forward to an enjoyable golf outing in “Perfect” Tucson weather.
